Wordle was very fun and easy to use. Thanks for showing us - it will be a great tool to use this year. I appreciated the Kaned tips and will use the ideas for the video field trips. Voicethread.com would be easy to use for a project instead of Photostory sometime.

Today their were many things I learned how to use in my clasroom. Wordle was my favorite! Oh, besides Epals which I already do. For Wordle I would have my kids create one for a story character, themself, or a topic they researched. I also enjoyed the free polycom lessons that we could sign up for. I would like to do a polycom every nine weeks.

I will use the poloycom to explore the weather with my class. I found some neat videos and lesson that we could do on the poloycom. I would also like to become epals with someone so that we can explore different weather around the world/area.

Polycom has free field trips I would like to learn more about and use in my classroom.
Wordle was a lot of fun and would be a great way to build vocabulary.
Voicethread was wonderful, I would like to try using it at the beginning of the year to learn how to say hello in different languages.

Part 2....

I forgot to mention Voice Thread. The Voice Thread will be great for research projects. It could also replace powerpoint and photo story. It will make projects move much faster!

I really like the wordle sight! Using wordle, I'm going to have my students come up with a page about themselves to put around the room at the beginning of the year.

With Wordle I plan to have each child make a wordle about themself; with Voicethread one of our projects is with weather and we can collaborate with other areas on what the weather is like in different areas. I will be implementing E-Pals more into my classroom this year, and found some useful field trip sites to use.

I am going to try to utilize distance learning more this year. I think the kids will really enjoy working with another class.

I also will use some of the websites that Marcia showed us today.

I would use some of the things to use in my morning message. I could use the FUrbles to do some intro to graphing. I could use the Paper Vision to calm down the students as the enter the classroom in the mornings. I plan on using the DIBELS intervention activities in my classroom.

I am very excited about using Wordle and have many ideas I want to try in the classroom. I also found a lot of wonderful information during the break out session that I can use in my classroom. It was a great day!

Have students make videos of how to care for library books, library procedures or different genres.

I want to see how students have applied their learning using the flip videos.

I thought all of it was very useful. I have always had movie maker on my computers, but didn't know what to do with it. Now I do :) The Flip Cameras are very cool too. THis moring was very hepful as far a collaboration abroad, and I hope to use it.

Oh there's so many things that I will be able to share with students and parents with the things that I learned today!

I will be using the flip cameras to do my video book chats in my classroom. This is an easy process that my students will be able to work with on thier own (with a little coaching).

I will use the video camera to have students record reflections and to demonstrate what they learned. I will also use epals and other tools to collaborate with other teachers. I also learned about the many opportunity to do free IDLs.

I hope to implement the FLIP cameras and use Movie Maker in my classroom. I think that it would greatly enhance many of our learning projects and help to keep the students actively engaged! I also plan to implement Wordle-it was absolutely addicting!

I believe that the flip video cameras could be an excellent instructional tool for students of all levels and abilities. For example, a child who is in the process of mastering a process could be videotaped doing a project step by step. Once the video is completed, then the teacher and child could review the child's work and talk about what was done correctly or incorrectly.
